A six week course here at Forest Road Studio, designed to give solid foundations to continue your pottery practice.

The course will use hand-building as a base, and build on ceramics knowledge with other topics including glazing, firing and reclaim. Suitable for beginners and those who have some knowledge alike.

The course will cover 4 hand-building techniques, and include several pieces that will be refined by participants during the course. A selection of pieces will be fired and glazed upon completion. Suitable for beginners and those who have some knowledge alike.

Forest Road Studio is run by me - I'm Megan, on our small family property on Peramangk (Adelaide Hills). I am a part-time potter and rest of the time homemaker, unschooling mum, gardener, seeker of inner growth, tea drinker and much more.....

I am continuously learning to unlock my own unique creativity, let go of outcomes and utilize the grounding nature that working with clay provides. I make my own work in small batches, leaning into intentional creation, firing minimal pieces 'just because'.
The Studio is fed by solar power and rainwater, and I am always looking for new ways to reduce waste and impact.
I love sharing my knowledge with others, and really enjoy watching all who come through the studio create unique handmade treasures. I am constantly inspired by the growing number (100+) of guests who have joined us here over the last 4 years.
studio regulars
A new format coming to Forest Road Studio in 2024, Studio Regulars is an opportunity to come to the studio for 6 weeks per term and work on ongoing projects.

This option is open to previous studio guests and is aimed at guests who are able to work largely independently.
​
Studio Regulars sessions are limited to 6 people per session.
